EVA Monday: East Village-West Town School Fair

Learn about local schools from teachers and parents and get informed about the pre-K and elementary application and enrollment process.

  • When: Monday, Oct. 4 from 6-8pm
  • CPS presentation starting around 6:45pm
  • Where: Mitchell Elementary School Gymnasium, 2233 W. Ohio St.
  • Enter Door 7 from Parking Lot

Each participating school will have a table staffed with representatives to answer your questions. There will be a presentation on navigating the CPS process for Pre-K and elementary schoolchildren.

Ald. Daniel La Spata (1st Ward) speaks to East Village Association members June 13, 2022. Weekend gunfire turned a scheduled meeting with Ald. Daniel LaSpata into an hourlong discussion of public safety. Residents pressed the alderman on police response to calls and his own response to violent crime. Gilbert Villegas introduced himself to East Village Association members Sept. 12. In turn, members sounded him out on how he works with community groups on neighborhood issues. The remap pushes Villegas' 36th Ward boundaries east along Grand Avenue from Belmont Cragin into East Village. A West Town satellite office at 2246 W.
