Streets & San answer man at Jan. 8 EVA meeting

Are snowplows reaching the side streets? What kind of trash goes in the blue carts? Are alleys baited for rats? How do I deal with parkway trees? These are the kinds of questions Manny Gonzalez can address Jan. 8 when the Streets and Sanitation superintendent for the 1st Ward is the guest of the East Village Association.

The next membership meeting is a week later than usual because of the New Year's holiday. The program starts at 7 p.m. at the Happy Village tavern, 1059 N. Wolcott.

Eddie Ratwan of Damen & Augusta Food, 1001 N. Damen, is also on the agenda. The convenience store is seeking EVA consent in obtaining a liquor license to sell package goods.
